A sawdust crusher (also known as a wood pulverizer or sawdust pulverizer) can turn wood into sawdust, which is an efficient and complex mechanical crushing process. The following are the main steps and principles of the process:
Material feeding
Wood (logs, branches, blocks, etc.) is fed into the machine through the feeding port of the sawdust machine. The design of the feed inlet usually takes into account the size and shape of the material to ensure smooth feeding and reduce blockages.
Crushing and cutting
The sawdust machine is equipped with high-speed rotating blades, hammers, or other crushing components inside. These components rotate at high speed under the drive of the motor, cutting, tearing, and impacting the incoming wood.
The force of the blade or hammer gradually breaks the wood into smaller fragments. At the same time, the airflow generated by the rotation of the rotor will also help the material to be better dispersed and impacted in the crushing chamber, further promoting the crushing effect.
Refinement and Grinding
The wood fragments that have undergone initial crushing will be further refined by other crushing components in the crushing chamber. These components may include denser blade arrays, grinding discs, or screens, which perform more detailed cutting, tearing, and grinding on wood fragments.
During this process, the wood fragments are gradually ground into small sawdust particles.
Screening and Grading
The crushed material (sawdust) will be screened and graded through a sieve. The aperture size of the sieve determines the particle size range of sawdust.
Only small sawdust that meets the requirements can be discharged through the sieve mesh, while larger particles will be trapped on the sieve and continue to undergo crushing treatment.
Collect and discharge materials
The screened sawdust will be discharged from the discharge port and collected through collection devices such as dust bags, fan conveying systems, etc.
The collected sawdust can be used for various industrial applications, such as biomass energy, papermaking raw materials, animal bedding, fertilizer additives, and fillers in the wood processing industry.

environmental protection measures
In order to reduce dust emissions and noise pollution, sawdust machines are usually equipped with dust removal systems and sound insulation equipment. The dust removal system can collect and process the dust generated during the crushing process to maintain a clean working environment; Sound insulation equipment can reduce the noise level during machine operation and protect the hearing health of operators.
Since its establishment in 2015, Fude Machinery has been committed to providing high-quality and high-performance wood equipment solutions to global customers. With advanced production technology, strict quality control, and continuous innovative research and development capabilities, we have received customer satisfaction praise.
The branch crusher is used for orchard, forestry, and tree maintenance. After crushing, it can be used as organic fertilizer, edible fungi, biomass for power generation, high-density board, and particle board.
